Michael Zuzek Vocal Coaching ("MZ Vocal Coaching," "MZVC," "we," "us," "our") is an online vocal coaching business based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website and services, how we use it, who we share it with, and how we protect it. By using our website or booking our services, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us directly:

• Name, email address, and phone number when you book a consultation or lesson, purchase a service, or sign up for our email list

• Information you enter when booking a consultation through our scheduling tool, such as your time zone and any answers you give to booking questions

• Information you share about your singing goals, experience, and repertoire

• Payment information

• Messages or emails you send us

• If applicable: audio or video recordings made during lessons or submitted for feedback

Information collected automatically:

• Device and browser type, IP address, pages visited, time spent on pages, and referring website

• Data collected through cookies and similar technologies, including the Meta Pixel and the Google Ads tag (see Section 5)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Book, schedule, and deliver consultations, lessons, and programs

• Process payments and issue receipts

• Communicate with you about your bookings, lessons, and account

• Send you marketing emails, such as vocal tips, program information, and offers, only where you have consented. You can unsubscribe at any time.

• Deliver and measure the performance of our advertising

• Improve our website, services, and marketing

• Meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Who We Share Information With

We share information only with service providers who help us operate our business, and only as needed for them to perform their services:

Calendly is used to schedule free consultations, send booking confirmations and reminders, and host video meeting links. It receives your name, email address, phone number (if requested), time zone, booking details, and answers to booking questions.

Stripe and Square are used for checkout and payment processing. They receive your name, contact details, purchase details, and payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe or Square, and we do not see or store your full card number.

HighLevel (GoHighLevel) hosts our website and landing pages. It handles website visit data and any information submitted through pages or forms hosted on it.

Hostinger provides our domain name and business email, and handles the emails you send to us.

Vimeo hosts the videos shown on our website. When you play a video, Vimeo may collect your IP address, device and browser information, and cookie identifiers.

MailerLite is used for email communications. It receives your name, email address, and email engagement data.

Meta (Facebook/Instagram) is used for advertising and ad performance measurement. It receives website activity data and identifiers such as your IP address and browser identifiers, through the Meta Pixel.

Google (Google Ads) is used for advertising and ad performance measurement. It receives website activity data and identifiers such as your IP address, device and browser information, and cookie identifiers, through the Google tag.

Zapier is used for workflow automation between our tools. It receives your name, email address, and purchase details.

We may also disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect our rights, safety, or property. If MZVC is sold or reorganized, your information may be transferred to the new owner, who will be bound to handle it under this policy.

Method of disclosure: Information is shared electronically through secure online integrations and encrypted connections between our systems and these providers. We do not disclose information by other means unless you ask us to.

4. Where Your Information Is Stored

Some of our service providers store or process data outside Canada, including in the United States. Information held in another country may be accessible to courts and government authorities there under that country's laws.

5. Cookies and Advertising Technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to make the site work and to understand how visitors use it. A cookie notice explains this when you first visit. We also use advertising tools from Meta (the Meta Pixel) and Google (the Google Ads tag), which collect information about your activity on our site, such as pages viewed and whether you book a consultation, and share it with Meta and Google. We use this to measure and improve our ads and to show them to relevant audiences. Videos on our site are provided by Vimeo, which may also set cookies when you play a video.

• Adjusting your ad preferences in your Facebook and Instagram settings

• Adjusting your Google ad settings at adssettings.google.com

• Opting out through the Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada at youradchoices.ca

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including:

• Payment processing handled by Square, which maintains PCI-DSS-compliant security standards

• Limiting access to those who need it to deliver our services

• Using reputable third-party providers with their own security measures

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach occurs that poses a real risk of significant harm to you, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by law.

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law (for example, tax and accounting records).

Our services may be booked by or for children and teens. Anyone under 18 should have a parent or guardian make the booking and provide information on their behalf. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without a parent or guardian's consent. If you believe a child has given us information without that consent, contact us and we will delete it.

Our website may link to other sites, including social media platforms. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please review their policies.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it was last revised. Continued use of our website or services after changes means you accept the updated policy.
